Who was Heinrich (VII.), who entered the historical records with a bracket? The play amusingly brings closer the tragic story of the Staufer king and son of Emperor Friedrich II. Experience the medieval game of power and intrigue with a showdown at Trifels Castle!
At the height of his power, the Staufer Friedrich II. appointed his son Heinrich as Roman-German King. Elected king at the age of nine, he remained under guardianship for a long time, which always represented his father's political interests. But with increasing independence, the conflict between emperor and king, between father and son, intensified.
The one-person play repeatedly translates the complicated power dynamics and developments in a humorous and cheeky way into our time. Today hardly known, Heinrich (VII.) was a tragic figure in the shadow of his overwhelmingly powerful father. His reign simultaneously marks the end of the Staufer era.
The station theater is suitable for ages 14 and up and takes place at various locations on the Imperial Castle.
