Gossersweiler-Stein is in the middle of a varied landscape of forests, meadows, red sandstone rocks and castles. Activity in the nature is important here, there are well-marked hiking and Nordic walking routes. Horse riding is not only an attraction for children. Cycling routes lead to Annweiler am Trifels, the Southern Wineroute or the "Dahner Felsenland". So Gossersweiler-Stein is anyway a good starting point for excursions within the Biosphere Reserve Palatinate Forest.

The "Hawwerflichelkerwe", a typical local event, is celebrated on the third weekend in September. "Hawwerflichel" are the portions of chaff from grain. And an inside tipp: look at the St. Georgs Chapelle at the northern edge of Gosserweiler, it is worth visiting.
